New Beginnings

While I've been MIA on here the last few months, I feel like it's finally time to get back into writing and being creative again. The last few weeks have brought so much change, and while it can be hard and scary, I'm so ready to see what this change will lead to.
I decided to close the chapter that was my life in San Diego, and move back home to Orange County, which has honestly been so great and what I had been needing to do for awhile. With that came leaving a job I loved and some incredible friends that I made at Pura Vida (I can't wait to go back and visit though). The biggest change was getting out of a relationship that I thought would be my forever. It's a scary thing to lose what you envisioned your future to have and to feel so lost from it, but it's time to move on and grow from it. Everything truly happens for a reason, and I've been lucky enough to understand why it happened.

So, I packed up my life, moved home, and decided this new chapter for me needed to start out the right way - with a trip to Georgia to surprise my sister! I had been planning this trip with her boyfriend for a few weeks to surprise her before her summer ended, and I'm so happy to say it was successful and she had no clue what we were up to. Gotcha sis😋
Georgia is beautiful to say the least. There are brick buildings everywhere, and so many trees. As dumb as that sounds, it's such a change from Southern California to see greenery and lushness everywhere you look, so it was definitely a fun change in scenery.
We ate so much good food, definitely one of my favorite parts about traveling somewhere new. Buttermilk Kitchen was the best place for brunch, with super yummy french toast and incredible biscuits - a definite go-to place to stop if you're ever near Atlanta. Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q was another delicious stop we made for dinner. I had to get a taste of some Southern BBQ, and I was not disappointed - especially with the cheesy muffins they brought out before the meal (um yum!).
A few other must go places in Georgia were The Georgia Aquarium, The Battery Atlanta, the Atlanta Beltline. The Battery is connected to the Braves Stadium and has so much fun shopping, restaurants, and bars to check out, and is such a cool place to visit on game days! The Beltline is this long running/biking trail that loops you around Atlanta to some must-see places, such as Ponce City Market, Krog Street, and some awesome breweries along the way. We hopped on Bird scooters and explored around Atlanta from the Beltline, which was one of my favorite things to do while visiting.
This trip was a little vacation I desperately needed, and surprising Kirsten was the cherry on top of it all. Now I'm back home, trying to figure out life again, and enjoying every step of the way.
Starting over can be so hard and scary, but there's silver lining in everything. You just have to trust that everything will be okay.
Until next time!😊
xoxo,
