It's officially Fall!

That means spooky season is just around the corner - literally, we have less than a week until October, and I am so excited. The holidays are coming, cold weather is on its way (fingers crossed), Spooky Disney is in full swing, and it's officially the best time of the year! This also means my favorite emojis are coming back to play👻🎃

Since we really don't get to feel the seasons change here in Southern California, my favorite way to feel like it's really Fall is by decorating! We all know Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, etc. are the best places to shop for affordable decor, and once the holiday decor hits the stores, you best believe I'm there.

Here are my favorite tips & tricks to getting your home ready for the new season!

Candles

One of the easiest ways to prep your house for the season is by stocking up on all the Fall scented candles! Anything pumpkin, warm, and spiced will be the perfect addition to feel the change in the weather. If you're not into super sweet smelling candles, you can't go wrong with Leaves from Bath & Body Works, which is definitely my go-to favorite every year!

Bedroom

A quick, simple way to feel like you're ready for spooky season is by decorating your bedroom! It's a lot cheaper than trying to decorate your whole house, or if you live with roommates, it's an easy way to decorate without conflicting opinions. This year, I chose to decorate one shelf in my room with pumpkins, cute Fall sayings, and leaves! Adding one seasonal throw pillow is also a great way to easily switch up your normal decor without breaking your budget.

Home

If you have a whole home to decorate, then I say go for it! You don't have to switch out every single corner in your house with seasonal decor, but it makes the slightest difference and will get you into the holiday spirit by just switching out pieces here and there. One of my favorite places to decorate is an entry table because it's a small piece to devote the entire space to the holiday, which makes it easy to switch up as the holidays roll through the end of the year!

Happy decorating!
