Life's Better Buzzed

Coffee or tea? Sometimes you just need both! I love tea (especially matcha), but sometimes you need just a little coffee. Whichever you prefer, Better Buzz Coffee will NOT disappoint! :)

I love finding cute little coffee shops, little ma and pa shops, and anywhere out of the ordinary that has yummy drinks! Better Buzz definitely qualifies as the cute, trendy shop with amazing drinks. Unfortunately, they are only around the San Diego area, so if you aren’t near/in San Diego, you have to make a special trip to Better Buzz if you ever visit! I normally go to the walk-up shop in the Fashion Valley mall, but they recently opened up a shop in Hillcrest, so I had to go check it out – it’s TWO stories!

First of all – the drinks. Oh my gosh. I can’t get enough. Any time I’m near a Better Buzz, it takes everything in me to not get a drink every. single. time. UGH. My absolute favorite thing to get here is the matcha buzz (which is blended) with nonfat milk (I’d prefer almond, but it costs extra and ya girl is on a budget). I’ve had green tea latte frappuccinos at a couple different places, including Starbucks, but WOW. The matcha buzz here is SO creamy and has a vanilla hint to the matcha, it’s incredible. 10 out of 10, would recommend, you HAVE to try this drink! It’s like dessert in a cup and it takes sososo good (my mouth is watering just thinking about it!). My second favorite drink is the caramel buzz (again, blended) and it has such a light coffee flavor which is perfect for my preference for coffee. Just like the matcha, it’s so creamy and delicious, you seriously can’t get enough. I highly, highly recommend either of these drinks for your first time going to Better Buzz, or if you’re looking for something new to try here. :) They also have food, acai bowls and sandwiches, that look incredible, but I have yet to try them out.

Second, this shop in Hillcrest is SO cute! Although the parking situation around the shop is very difficult and can be a little stressful, it is so Instagram worthy and has so many cute things about it. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but I love the vibe that they created here! It’s so bright and open with plants and funky lights along with neon signs and other decor. You can easily get some new interior design inspo from here!
